It’s nearly time for our Taste @ Lomond trade show 2024!
This year is set to be our biggest trade show yet, with over 80 suppliers, new food innovation & menu inspiration, lot’s of food sampling, food trucks & freebies, and some great prizes up for grabs in our supplier raffles.
Make sure to come on an empty stomach as there is going to be LOT’S of food to taste with suppliers bringing samples cook, test & try (like Cake, Kepak, Tobermory Fish Co, Breadwinner Bakery, Marshfield’s Farm Ice Cream, Pan Euro Foods, and so many more…)
This year we are also introducing food trucks from Essential Cuisine, Aviko & Scrocciarella – make sure you pay them a visit as there will be lot’s of tasty things on offer!
You’ll be able to stop for a break in our chill out area where you can have a seat, enjoy your food & help yourself to a free tea or coffee.
Like last year, the show will be split into 2 sections – Foodservice suppliers & Locally Sourced Scottish Suppliers. We split the show in 2 to highlight our dedication to local sourcing, which forms part of our strategy to reduce our environmental impact. Sourcing locally naturally reduces food miles, and in most cases, means buying from smaller manufacturers who have simpler and cleaner processes in their production cycle. โThis strategy also supports our local economy and allows us to form strong partnerships within the Scottish food supply chain.
We will have lot’s of prizes up for grabs, all of our attendees will be entered into our Lomond prize draw to win ยฃ1000 Lomond account credit, a Ninja Airfryer, a Nintendo Switch & an Apple watch! Many of our suppliers are also holding their own raffles with prizes including hampers, champagne, gift vouchers & even a drone! All entries are free so enter as many as you can.
We work with Fareshare at our trade show to ensure all surplus stock is donated to charity. We are committed to ensuring we deliver zero food waste, our zero food waste policy is to ensure anything within 2 days of the end of its shelf life and cannot be sold is donated to charity.
Here are some of the Fareshare stats from the Taste @ Lomond 2023 event:
โข 0.5 tonnes of food donated.
โข 14 charities helped.
โข Equivalent of 1191 meals.
โข 0.8 tonnes of co2 saved.
Some of the local charities that benefited from last year’s show are Possibilities, Kindness and Men Matter Scotland.
